Hill College House is a low-rise First Year Community located on the east side of Penn’s campus with convenient access to academic buildings, as well as Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. Students live in traditional dormitory-style rooms in either single or double rooms located in one of the four quadrants of the House. The architectural landmark designed by Eero Saarinen in 1958 was intended to foster the vibrant community found here. With lounges built around the vast central atrium overlooking the dining café below, students engage with the community supported by the four pillars: empower, explore, engage, and express.

What's Included In Your Room
We believe one of the most important ways to feel at home is to make sure your room is equipped with everything you need. That means giving you a foundation, but also providing the space to make your room uniquely yours; a place to call home.
House Facilities
Going Above and Beyond
At Hill College House, we care deeply about integrating first-year students into a community that will ultimately launch them into successful careers at Penn, and beyond. The design concept for Hill was grounded in the idea of a small village, self-sufficient, inward-focused, and protected. We live in a space that was quite literally built to connect people to one another, and we take that very seriously.
