Moving Info: Spring

Day of Move-In

Given our urban setting, variety of building styles, and number of students moving onto campus, our on-campus areas have different experiences arriving on campus. All new residents will be able to move in starting at 9 am on Saturday, January 7.

Haven't been to campus before? Check out this campus map for information about parking garages and street directions.

Getting Access to Your Residential Building

Spring move-in is self-service, which means streets will not be closed or reserved for Move-In parking and there will not be staff available to assist with parking and moving items up steps in selected buildings.

You will be able to sign out a cart from your building's Information Center to help bring items from your car to your room.

If you need a PennCard, you will need to pick it up at the PennCard Center. For information on hours, click here.

Getting Access to Your Room and Building

Room access will be issued to you when you move in at the beginning of occupancy. The acceptance of keys or updated PennCard access for your room constitutes a "move in" and should always accompany an official check in to the residential occupancy system through the online check-in process or at an Info Center. The acceptance of access constitutes taking of occupancy, even if the resident does not stay in the room or place belongings there.
